Sky Full of Lighters

I might be pimping this photo too much already, but it's only because I'm so happy with it.
This one's for you and me, living out our dreams
We're all right where we should be
Lift my arms out wide I open my eyes
And now all I wanna see
Is a sky full of lighters
A sky full of lighters

Do I want a Kindle Fire?

Yes, I do!

The rise of the tablets has gotten me interested but not to the point of technolust. The iPad is, well, made by Apple and, for me, is just a bigger iPod Touch. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is running Android, which is awesome, and is half the size of the chunky iPad, but there's just no spark. The HTC Flyer was a serious crush for a while, but with its price tag, nevermind, thank you.

What do I need a tablet for, anyway? I'd be able to do more with a netbook and it would cost me around the same amount of money or even less. I'm able to do my mobile computing with my smartphone as well. So, do I really need a tablet? It's just a waste of money!
Well, who said it was a need?

We lost Jobs

I'm not an Apple fan.

I woke up to a text message from Jex saying that Steve Jobs was dead. I was groggily shocked and then I went back to sleep. The next time I woke up I went online and checked Twitter. My timeline was filled with news on Steve Jobs' death and people's condolences.

Apple fan or not, hearing this news really makes one sad. The world lost another awesome person today. I think all the awesome people die too early and turn into legends.

No matter how many haters are out there you can't deny the fact that Steve Jobs has changed the world. He's a true genius and a visionary whom everyone should aspire to think like. I am not a fan of the products, but I am fan of his work. He brought out so many novel ideas and challenged the world to do the same.

Rest in peace, Steve Jobs (1955-2011).
