I'm back in Perth with Jex again. I've been looking forward to this trip with Jex because we'll be here for more than a month!
Last time I only stayed for two weeks. I also get to spend my birthday with Jex, unlike last year.
Another exciting bit (well, for me anyway) is that I'll get to experience Perth winter. We've had oven weather in Manila for months now and I'd really like to escape to some cold weather. Wish granted! The
night morning midnight we arrived it was 2.6°C!
When we got to the hotel the first things we unpacked were our laptops. We are such a technology and internet-dependent couple.
We got a room facing the Perth Convention Center. I like this view better than the one facing the street because I don't hear any crows and have less fear of them suddenly coming into the room when I leave the balcony door open.
Another reason I've been looking forward to this trip is that I get to have an oven! I baked a batch of oatmeal lace cookies and a simple chicken dinner on our second day. Recipes to be posted soon. Expect the food posts to start again!
When Jex is at work sometimes I get lazy to cook something for myself. This was a lazy merienda of an orange marmalade and cheese sandwich.
Tonight we had hot chocolate with mini marshmallows after dinner. Nom! Loving this cold weather so much.
