My sister and I went to the mall last Friday to do a list of stuff. Ever since I became a bum going out has become a rarity so I took advantage of the opportunity to take photos.
On our way out I snapped some photos of our cats. We recently took in some stray cats. They're darling little things that have grown on me. I've never been a cat person because I always thought that dogs are cuter and more lovable (and I still think they are). But these cats are different and seem to love attention and usually ask for it whenever we go out the front door.

Siops - yawning kitty |
My sister named one Siops, short for siopao. The cat has no resemblance to a
siopao whatsoever, my sister just thought it was a cute name. The other one is named Agatha. Both cats are female and we recently had them spayed at
P.A.W.S.

Agatha, looking lethargic as always |
On our way out of the village we passed by an empty lot that was fenced off. We were surprised to see some goats and sheep inside the lot! We stopped and I took a few pictures from the car. One goat was bleating incessantly at us. I think it was being territorial. Such an opposite to the
goats we met at Caversham Wildlife Park.

"Bleaghhh!" says the goat. (Notice the ram and the sheep in the background |
We decided to have merienda first when we got to the mall. We went to JiPan to have some yummy bread. My sister loves their vegetable curry bread and had that while I tried the okonomiyaki bread. We also shared a sweet potato cake, which tasted heavenly as always.

Our mall itinerary included looking at baby clothes for our newly-born nephew, buying ink cartridges for our printer, finding new glasses for me, and general shopping. Oh, and dinner at Mexicali. We looked in the department store for christening clothes for our nephew and saw the cutest barong. We're definitely getting that. We also discovered a
New Zealand Natural ice cream stand near the optical shop where I found and bought my new glasses. I tried the hokey pokey flavor, apparently a famous
Kiwi ice cream flavor, which is vanilla ice cream with bits of crunchy honeycomb toffee. Nom! I loved it because it wasn't too sweet and I really like the crunchy bits.
I broke my last pair of glasses, which I've used inconsistently for the last 7 years. I think I pulled them open too far and the hinge of the right
temple broke. I can still wear them but not comfortably. I found a new pair with springs on the hinges (so I can't break them as easily). During the checkup the doctor found that the grade of both my eyes went a step up. It's not a drastic difference since it's still just astigmatism. But during the tests I really exclaimed "shet, bakit ang linaw?! (damn, why is it so clear?!)" when she changed the lenses.

The new glasses |
Shiny, dark rims with white plastic temples and a jeje-ish brand name.

Be kool |
It came with this Burberry-wannabe hard case. Not bad.

Wannabe |
Last night I washified them.

Golden flowers |
I love how it looks but I'm still trying to think of other ways to seal the washi tape aside from using glue+water, since it will eventually wear out from my sweat. I was thinking clear nail polish might work, so maybe I'll try that. I might redo the washi taping, too, because, if you can see from the photos, there are some creases here and there that I want to get rid of.

Yay for new and washified glasses!
