Kitchen Diaries: Cheese-stuffed Chicken Meatballs

A few weeks ago I cooked some pasta for my family. I made a tomato sauce with ground beef and diced zucchini (because we had tons of zucchini in the fridge.) My mom liked it a lot and bought more packs of pasta and bottles of pasta sauce.

Sunday Family Dinners: Korean Beef Stew

My mom doesn't like eating at fast food places because most of them are poorly maintained. So I was surprised to find out that she was okay with eating at the fast food at the Landmark supermarket in Trinoma. She apparently likes the takoyaki from Karate Kid and the Korean beef stew from Kimchi. So, I decided that I'd try to make Korean beef stew for one of the Sunday dinners.

I stumbled upon this recipe and it looked simple enough so I tried it out. Unfortunately, no photos because I always forget to take them. =(

Sunday Family Dinners: Stuffed Chicken & Mexican Red Rice

I was supposed to make the Mexican red rice along with the fish tacos, but I ran out of time so I decided to make it for our next Sunday dinner. I looked for a dish that would go well with the red rice and found a recipe for chicken breasts stuffed with apples and cheese on food.com. Cheese and apples are awesome together!

Also, I was able to take photos! I had my camera with me in the kitchen and man was it difficult to remember to take photos. I was able to take most of the photos at the start and at the end. Not much photos in the middle of the process, unfortunately.

Sunday Family Dinners: Fish Tacos

For a few weeks now I've been cooking my family dinner every Sunday. Usually, it's my older sister who does the special cooking for the family, like Christmas, New Year's dinners, and the occasional "wala lang" meals. But since she started on her diet, where she needs to prepare and cook all of her meals herself, she doesn't have time to cook for the family anymore. It's my time to step up to the plate.

Cooking dinner every Sunday is partially voluntary and partially required by mom. I love food and I really love watching cooking and food shows, but I usually only helped around the kitchen and don't really prepare full meals. Mom insists that I should practice because I'll be getting married soon. I don't mind cooking because I'm learning new stuff every time and it's fun.

I always forget to take photos before, during, and after cooking, so I don't have any photos of the previous stuff I've made. So far I've done a bunch of chicken recipes so I thought it was time to make something with fish. After looking through a bunch of recipes I decided I was going to make fish tacos.
Recipes ahead!
